We wish to build a “Recreation Center” on or near the temple premises. The land would be provided by the temple. The architectural design and detailed drawings will be provided by USHA. There will be a stage, with curtain facility. The builder will set up the “Recreation Center” and be willing to pay a monthly rental. The details of the “Recreation Center” are:
It is an airconditioned hall with seating capacity of about 100 people. There will be a wooden floor stage, with facilities for loudspeaker usage. Reclining Cushioned Chairs will be provided by USHA at cost. A vending machine (1 to 4) will be provided by USHA at cost. Where feasible, solar energy would be used for air-conditioning. It would serve one or more of the following activities (in alphabetical order):
Dance recitals (traditional Indian dance, not Bollywood dance), Drama, Festival Events, Religious discourses by visiting “Spiritual Leaders”, Song recitals (traditional Indian music), Speakers on Hindu themes.
The “Recreation Center” will also earn from Group events at the temple (marriages, birthdays), Party events at the temple (to coincide with festivals).
The “Recreation Center” will include a Reading Room with Newspapers and Magazines, Facilities for Indoor games, Media room (large TV screen, Business Center with Internet), Green Room facilities for performers,
The “Recreation Center” will have facilities to park about 100 cars.
